Fall River County Fair
1900's

From September 4th, 1935 article about the fair
"We cannot refrain from giving special mention to the Shetland pony race on Friday, wherein there were three entrants. The ponies ridden by the little Fritz boy and Ernest Heppner's little girl, suddenly took a notion that they had run far enough and quit the track at the gate, leaving little Harold Dean Stickney, who had trailed some distance behind all the way, a clear field to the wire and his pony continued to finish the race alone."
